Four teens injured after car flips on Woronora Bridge

SUTHERLAND police said they expect to lay charges after four teenagers were injured in a car that crashed and flipped on the Woronora Bridge at Woronora on Tuesday night.

Police allege all the occupants were affected by alcohol when the Holden Commodore they were in crashed into a concrete barrier, flipped and came to rest 150 metres away. The unlicensed driver of the car, a Kirrawee girl, 17, received head injuries and a Bangor girl, 17, sitting in the front passenger seat suffered lacerations to her foot. An Engadine boy, 17, had scratches and abrasions and a Menai 16-year-old was believed to have fractured his wrist. All were taken to St George Hospital for treatment. The two girls remained in hospital in a stable condition at St George hospital spokeswoman said.
