Miss Ferry, who described the Body Shop At Home concept as similar to a Tupperware party, started working as a consultant three years ago, as she strongly believed in the ethics of the Body Shop.

“I also love the products,” she said.

Miss Ferry travels to homes in Sutherland Shire to host pamper parties, where groups of friends can sample and buy products.

She said the concept was great for those who did not have a chance to get to the shops, or for women who wanted to enjoy a girls’ night in.

“The product sells itself, as people have [actually] tried it,” Miss Ferry said.

“They know what it feels and smells like.”

The trip to Los Angeles and Las Vegas was won based on team and individual sales, as well as success in recruiting others to become consultants.

Miss Ferry described Body Shop founder Anita Roddick, who died in 2007, as an inspiration, and the campaigns such as raising money for clean drinking water in Africa as life-changing.

“It is not just selling you a product that is going to make you look better; it is going to change the world,” she said.
