Rod Coy, chairman of Sutherland Shire Relay for Life, said this area’s version of the event had raised $3 million in years and was getting bigger each time.

Mr Coy said Sutherland Shire’s relay success was “a testament to our community”.

“We’ll be maintaining our place as the biggest in NSW,” he said.

“All the indications are it’s going to be as big as last year, which was massive.

“We’re getting towards $600,000 for this year.”

Mr Coy said the Relay meeting tomorrow night would start at 7pm.

“All are welcome,” he said.

“If you want to know more about Relay, please come along.”
