THE death of a man after he washit by a train at Tailem Bend onSunday night and the discovery ofa body in the River Murray atMurray Bridge on Friday afternoonhas shocked Murraylands’communities.

Police arrived at Tailem Bendabout 8pm on Sunday night afterreports that a freight train had runover a man.

Murray Bridge police operationsInspector Wayne Overmeyer saidinvestigations into the incidentwere continuing and no otherinformation was available.

On Friday afternoon police officersand State Emergency Servicevolunteers pulled a body from thereeds at Sturt Reserve.

The police were involved in asearch for missing Murray Bridgeman Graham Bock at the time buthave yet to confirm the body wasthat of the missing 48-year-old.

Mr Bock was reported missingon August 11 and was last seen atat about 9pm at Murray Bridgehotel carpark.

Police began searching the riverafter items of clothing were foundat Sturt Reserve on Sunday,August 19, which were confirmedas belonging to Mr Bock.

Inspector Overmeyer said thebody had been sent to Adelaide foran autopsy which police hopedwould help them identity the man.
