WHEN Kelly and Brett Gaunt of Cronulla realised the corporate world was not their ideal career path, they teamed up in a profession which they both loved.

The pair, who have two children aged four and three months, gave up jobs in marketing and sales to spend more time with their kids.

But they also wanted to focus on a new venture — one that already had a strong hold in the shopping and shipping arena.

So they took up the challenge of juggling parenthood with their home business, as owners of boutique clearance websites.

They bought the fashion website estile南京夜网 two years ago, and recently launched their latest project, The Ivory Room.

It is an online platform where established Australian and upcoming designers can showcase their collections to click-savvy consumers.

People can view and buy garments via the pre-season order service, without having to leave their laptop.

Designers on board include Amanda Garrett, Elly Louise, Guanabana Designs, Luela, Lovers and Collaborators, Carly Paiker and Blak.

“We are picky with our styles and we try to focus on brands that have a point of difference,” Kelly said.

“Our target market is women aged from about 18 to 40,” Brett said.

“And our stuff is all under $180.”

The couple said that they would like to give much greater exposure to St George and Sutherland Shire fashion designers.

“We are really keen to work with more locals,” Kelly said. “We also want to expand into selling homewares, art pieces, accessories and beauty.”
