THE Bowhill area draws touristsfrom around the nation for its beautifulscenery, and locals will be ableto take advantage of its beauty withtheir own photography following aworkshop conducted by a professionalphotographer.

A $2376 grant from Country ArtsSA enabled more than a dozen localwomen to enlist Naracoorte photographerAdrian Gale to teach twodays of photographic training at theBowhill Community Centre.

Co-organiser Samantha Krolligsaid the Bowhill Partners in Graingroup applied for the grant to find away to fully appreciate the region.

“Our group is interested in a photographyworkshop as a way ofexploring the beauty of the environmentwe live in and also as a way ofdocumenting what happens on ourproperties,” she said.

“Around the Bowhill area thereare the stunning Murray River cliffs,old farm ruins and the farming landscapethe group wanted to capture.”

Photographer Adrian Gale tutored Bowhill residents on Friday, including Jade Cooke.
